After a lapse of two years due to Covid, this year’s annual Tionól was held in the Dalton Inn hotel, Claremorris on May 21st and was attended by more than 50 people from all over Mayo.
Special guests were Neansaí Ní Choisdealbha of Raidió na Gaeltachta who spoke about 50 years of broadcasting on our national Irish radio station and played a selection of her favourite music from the archives. Returning Mayo natives Seán Ó Gráinne and Traolach Ó Conghaile brought the house down with a virtuoso performance of some of their classic comedy pieces and songs. Presentation were made on behalf of Conradh na Gaeilge to all three special guests after the event.
